Uptown Light is the official beer partner of Miami University’s NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) Collective, Red Brick Legacy, supporting Miami athletes.

Cincinnati Beverage Company worked in concert with Red Brick Legacy to resurrect a vintage Ohio brand called Red Top Beer and re-establish the brand under Uptown Light.

RED TOP BEER

Red Top Beer’s origins trace back to 1904, when Louis Ullman and Edgar J. Mack founded the Red Top Malt Company in Cincinnati.

The firm initially produced malt extract for “home baking” (a euphemism for home brewing) and built a modest business before Prohibition. By the 1910s it had established the “Red Top” brand as a regional malt syrup, setting the stage for later brewing operations.
